This is an introductory course in mathematical statistics. Students will learn how to apply probability theory to gain insights into real, everyday problems and situations. It is assumed that all students who enrolled this class has knowledge of elementary calculus, including multivariate differential and integral calculus. Although the course is designed to learn statistics, more emphasis will be given in probability theory. Therefore the first half of the course, until midterm, will be devoted to learning probability theory.
