COIS (Community of International Students)

Vision : To become a confident global minded student by interacting internationally

Mission : In order to become global leaders, we help students better prepared by making friends with different backgrounds, learning from our differences, and becoming more open-minded to each other.

COIS has actively been evolving every semester. Every semester, we plan three COIS days (for every members), three Team Meet-up events (for Optional small group activities), and other fun activities for all international students. COIS day represents a whole group gathering once a month, and Meet-up events include small group interactions under different topics on regular basis. COIS also cooperates with the office of international affairs at Gachon University.

Example for the Spring Semester of 2019:

On Apr. 26th : MT for Korean students

On May 3rd   : COIS day 2: Hangang BBQ
→ Followed Team Meet-ups

On May 14th : International Fair(Support, Booth operation)

In June -- : COIS day 3: (Sports events)
→ Followed Team Meet-ups

In June -- : Last Gathering and reward

In July -- : G-Step with affiliated universities overseas during the summer break

Learning Korean Language Free with "가나다[ganada]"

“가나다[ganada]” service group is providing a very good chance to learn Korean Language[한국어] to foreign students of Gachon University. Since July 2018, the group has been teaching 3 different groups of foreign students, One group is the students from Viet Nam, the other group is the students from Uzbekistan, and the last group is the students from the other countries all around the world, like Philippnes, India, Hungary, Russia, Ethiopia, and so on.

You can obtain more information about this organization called "가나다[ganada],“ which is the Free Korean Language Service group, by visiting Facebook blog "가나다[ganada]“. All you need to do is buying a book for the class by youself, and registering the class which goes on from March to May, and from Sep, to Nov, 2019.
